Group Ex Class Descriptions
WERQ Dance Fit
WERQ is a wildly addictive cardio dance workout based on trending pop and hip-hop music. Our mission is to create a judgment-free dance space built on good vibes, a great sweat, and a supportive community. This class is instructed by Caroline, Morgan, Joe & Kappi in the Group Ex room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Bootcamp
Bootcamp is a full-body strength workout, focusing on the squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull, and carry movement patterns. Body weight, free weights, medicine balls, Bosu, prowler sleds, and more! This class is instructed by Caroline in the Group Ex/Functional Workout space. Intermediate To Advanced Welcome
Evening Bootcamp is instructed by Melanie in the LFI room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Mobility Balance and Strength
Mobility Balance Strength – In this fun, gentle 45-minute class, we will work on balance for everyday life. Do you have trouble picking something up off the floor, turning to see if the coast is clear when driving, or getting up out of a chair? Come gain confidence, increase your range of motion, and build strength and mobility to do your everyday activities. This class is instructed by Melanie in the Group X room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Deep Water Workout
This one-hour class offers cardio and endurance segments, as well as toning and stretching in the water. Intensity is individualized. You will leave this workout feeling great! This class is instructed by Carol. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Auqa Zumba
Aqua Zumba brings new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. It combines the South American Zumba rhythm and dance steps with a pool party. It offers a fun but challenging, water-based, body-toning workout. This class is instructed by Dez in the Swimming Pool. Beginner To Advanced Welcome.
Aqua Power
A longer, moderate to high intensity cardio session followed by a challenging abdominal and strength training routine. Come ready to work out! (Who said water class was easy?!) This class is instructed by Josh in the swimming pool. Beginner to Advanced Welcome.
Strength and Stretch
Strength & Flex is a fusion of Pilates, yoga, barre, aerobics, and strength training. This is a dynamic, fun, results-driven workout. In this class, we use mats, and a variety of weights, which incorporate specific sequencing patterns and isometric movements that target specific muscle groups. This pattern of exercise helps to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and posture. This class is instructed by Morgan in the Group Ex room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Yoga Fit
Yoga Fit is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. This yoga class blends balance, strength, flexibility, and power in a fitness format Vinyasa Yoga/Flow Yoga – a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Core work is focused on Pilates-style training midway through class, and we finish with a relaxation meditation to help you restore and balance your physical and mental health. This class is instructed by Morgan in the Group Ex room. Beginners to advanced, are welcome.
Yoga
This class is yoga for everyone: all body types, ages, and abilities. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. Each class will use poses and movements for the entire body, as well as those focused on specific areas where we tend to hold tension in the body. Linking the breath to body movement, a regular yoga practice will help develop strength, improve balance, increase flexibility, promote energy, and calm the mind. It will ground you and bring out the best in you. This class is instructed by Leslie in the Group Ex room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Zumba
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music-dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. This class is instructed by Dez in the Group Ex room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Strong Nation
A fun new class offered by and created by Zumba. This is a HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) class that combines cardio and strength conditioning moves using just your body weight. Moves are perfectly synced to the beat of high-energy music. It’s not dancing – but every muscle in your body is driven by the music, so you can follow the beat and push to your limits in a fun, full-body, sweat-inducing workout. Not sure what that looks like, check it out on YouTube to see some videos and get inspired for this calorie-torching class. This class is instructed by Dez & Priscilla in the Group X room. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Fitness Fusion
Fitness Fusion is a fun, full-body workout for all ages and abilities. Participants work at their level during this optional weight lifting/weight-bearing, low-impact cardio workout. Drawing from elements of Barre, Cycle + Row to keep classes varied and always low impact. This class is instructed by Yvonne in the Group Ex room. Beginners to advanced, are welcome.
Full Body Circuit
Full Body Circuit is a low-impact circuit training workout that incorporates weight machines, body weight movements, and balance. Need to get out in the weight room? With our instructors' help, you can use the machines and understand the function of each one. Come on your lunch hour to use your time wisely! All levels of fitness are welcome.
Hit & Fit
This high-energy, fast-moving class keeps you on your toes with tennis drills in a fun group class setting. The class is open to all members whether you play tennis or not. If you have been thinking about starting to play tennis, this is the class for you. Get a great workout while you practice your shots. Beginners to advanced are welcome.
Grit Ride
30 or 50 minutes Spinning certified instructors use a combination of flats, hills to work on strength + endurance on the bike. This low-impact/high-intensity class will torch calories, build muscle mass and leave you sweaty for sure! Our studio bikes are compatible with road bike SPD cleats and regular gym shoes too. For those opting to use heart rate technology we keep our heart rates in the Green to Red zones here. The 50 minute class will have 3-5 minutes of optional strength / core work off the bike at the end of class. NEW TO GRIT ROW? You’ll need to sign up online as a member and add the TDAC membership (this is free and allows you to reserve seats in 3 designated weekly classes). All levels of fitness welcome.

Grit Row - Endurance
50-minute rowing segments vary from 8 to 20-minute segments. You will torch calories while building cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility in this full-body workout. This class incorporates short segments on the rower paired with the floor work of the rower. Floor work may include dumbbells (2-25plds), slam balls, TRX, and your body weight. For those opting to use heart rate technology, we keep our heart rates in the Green to Yellow zones here. This full-body workout is in the Grit Row Studio. Beginner To Advanced, Welcome. NEW TO GRIT ROW? Sign up online as a member using the TDAC member option. Arrive 5–10 minutes early. Space is very limited and seats are prioritized to those signed up.

50 minutes This is our signature class that has been loved since we opened in 2019. You will obliterate calories while building cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility in this full-body workout. This class incorporates short segments on the rower paired with the floor work of the rower. Floor work may include dumbbells (2-25plds), slam balls, TRX, and your body weight. For those opting to use heart rate technology, we keep our heart rates in the Green to Red zones here. This class is instructed by Kathy in the Grit Row Studio. Beginner To Advanced, Welcome.

Grit Row - Hybrid
50 or 70 minutes Our Hybrid Class could incorporate elements from the Endurance, Power, and Ride classes! Try this fun, fast-paced class to torch calories, and build muscle and cardio endurance. Adding variety to your workouts keeps your muscles and brain on their toes! If you prefer to stick to just the bike or just the rower, we can accommodate that for your cardio pieces. Just let the instructor know when you arrive for class. You will burn a bazillion calories while building cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility in this full-body workout. This class incorporates short segments on the rower paired with floor work off the rower. Floor work may include dumbbells (2-25plds), slam balls, TRX, and your body weight. For those opting to use heart rate technology, we keep our heart rates in the Green to Red zones here. Beginners to advanced, are welcome.
